Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gillian Carnegie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Zurich in June 2020. In the Swiss Made UNLOCKED auction, the work Untitled, 1997 sold for CHF 9,375.00 (€ 8,817.39) - well above the upper estimate of CHF 4,500.00. Admittedly, works by Gillian Carnegie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prince in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 74,008.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gillian Carnegie erzielte im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in Zürich einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Swiss Made UNLOCKED wurde die Arbeit Untitled, 1997 für CHF 9.375,00 (€ 8.817,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von CHF 4.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gillian Carnegie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prince im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 74.008,77).
