Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2016 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Blue by Gillian Carnegie. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,684.18), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gillian Carnegie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prince in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 63,000.00 (€ 74,008.77).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blue von Gillian Carnegie zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.684,18) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gillian Carnegie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Prince im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 63.000,00 (€ 74.008,77).
