Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Before the Circus by Gifford Beal was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2007. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,835.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gifford Beal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fish Houses, Winter Day in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,788.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Before the Circus von Gifford Beal kam im September 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.835,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gifford Beal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fish Houses, Winter Day im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 100.788,39).
