Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,178.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gifford Beal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fish Houses, Winter Day in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,788.39).

Die Arbeit Autumn on the Farm von Gifford Beal kam im März 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.178,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gifford Beal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fish Houses, Winter Day im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 100.788,39).
