Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Gianni Dessi was worth USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,091.26) to a buyer in September 2008. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gianni Dessi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Senza Titolo sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of EUR 24,250.00.
