Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Casa Mia by Gianni Dessi was auctioned at Christies in Milan in May 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,750.00. Admittedly, works by Gianni Dessi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Senza Titolo in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 24,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Casa Mia von Gianni Dessi im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.750,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gianni Dessi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Senza Titolo im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.250,00.
