Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gianni Berengo Gardin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2013. In the Photographs auction, the work Italian Landscape And People, 1950S sold for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,864.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gianni Berengo Gardin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vaporetto, 1960, which sold at auction in June 2012 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 29,408.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gianni Berengo Gardin erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Italian Landscape And People, 1950S für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.864,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gianni Berengo Gardin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vaporetto, 1960 beobachtet, die im Juni 2012 für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 29.408,15) versteigert wurde.
