Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Regata storica, Venezia, Canal Grande 1960 by Gianni Berengo Gardin was auctioned at Il Ponte in April 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 650.00 – 750.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gianni Berengo Gardin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vaporetto, 1960 in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 29,408.15).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Regata storica, Venezia, Canal Grande 1960 von Gianni Berengo Gardin im April 2018 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 650,00 – 750,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 600,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gianni Berengo Gardin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vaporetto, 1960 im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 29.408,15).
