The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,632.50), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gered Mankowitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jimi Hendrix, Smoking - 1967 in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 67,600.00.

Die Arbeit Mick Jagger, 'Black Label', Backstage London Palladium, January 1967 von Gered Mankowitz wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.632,50) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gered Mankowitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jimi Hendrix, Smoking - 1967 im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 67.600,00.
