Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Platinum Icons, 2006 by Gered Mankowitz was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in September 2017. The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,599.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gered Mankowitz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jimi Hendrix, Smoking - 1967 in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 67,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Platinum Icons, 2006 von Gered Mankowitz wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.599,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gered Mankowitz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jimi Hendrix, Smoking - 1967 im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 67.600,00.
