Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jimi Hendrix, Blue Metal, Mason'S Yard, 1967 by Gered Mankowitz was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,977.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gered Mankowitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jimi Hendrix, Smoking - 1967 in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 67,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jimi Hendrix, Blue Metal, Mason'S Yard, 1967 von Gered Mankowitz kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.977,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gered Mankowitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jimi Hendrix, Smoking - 1967 im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 67.600,00.
