Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Jimi Hendrix, 1967 by Gered Mankowitz. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,963.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gered Mankowitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jimi Hendrix, Smoking - 1967 in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 67,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jimi Hendrix, 1967 von Gered Mankowitz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.963,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gered Mankowitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jimi Hendrix, Smoking - 1967 im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 67.600,00.
