Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Keith Richards, Wasted, 1966 by Gered Mankowitz was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2017. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,694.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gered Mankowitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jimi Hendrix, Smoking - 1967 in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 67,600.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.694,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gered Mankowitz erzielen.
