Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'The Symmetry of Diplomacy.'' The Stanhope - New York by Ger van Elk was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2017. The price achieved of EUR 4,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ger van Elk have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 20,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'The Symmetry of Diplomacy.'' The Stanhope - New York von Ger van Elk wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ger van Elk auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000,00.
