Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Ger van Elk. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ger van Elk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 20,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ger van Elk zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ger van Elk erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.000,00.
