Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Co-Founder Of The Word O.K (Marken) #5 by Ger van Elk was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2019. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ger van Elk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2011 for EUR 20,000.00.

Die Arbeit The Co-Founder Of The Word O.K (Marken) #5 von Ger van Elk kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ger van Elk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2011 für EUR 20.000,00 versteigert wurde.
