Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Sailors by Georgy Gurianov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 61,686.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georgy Gurianov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rower Sergey, which sold at auction in November 2013 for GBP 188,500.00 (€ 226,834.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Sailors von Georgy Gurianov kam im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 61.686,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Georgy Gurianov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rower Sergey beobachtet, die im November 2013 für GBP 188.500,00 (€ 226.834,52) versteigert wurde.
