The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,324.14), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georgy Gurianov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rower Sergey in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 188,500.00 (€ 226,834.52).

Die Arbeit Theseus And The Minotaur von Georgy Gurianov wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.324,14) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georgy Gurianov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rower Sergey im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 188.500,00 (€ 226.834,52).
