Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For The Dive by Georgy Gurianov was sold in the Russian Pictures Including Works on Paper by Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,461.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Georgy Gurianov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rower Sergey in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 188,500.00 (€ 226,834.52).
