In the Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper Sale auction, the work Composition Abstraite (Femme Couchée) sold for USD 40,000.00 (€ 32,803.02) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Valmier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature Morte Au Compotier in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 725,000.00 (€ 582,891.14).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Georges Valmier erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper Sale wurde die Arbeit Composition Abstraite (Femme Couchée) für USD 40.000,00 (€ 32.803,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Valmier erzielen.
