Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work Nature morte aux jouets by Georges Valmier for EUR 37,800.00. This price was achieved in the auction Art Moderne at Christies in Skinner Marlborough, Mass and was even below the estimate range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georges Valmier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nature Morte Au Compotier in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 725,000.00 (€ 582,891.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nature morte aux jouets von Georges Valmier für EUR 37.800,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Art Moderne bei Christies in Skinner Marlborough, Mass erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georges Valmier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nature Morte Au Compotier im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 725.000,00 (€ 582.891,14).
