This artwork by Georgios Zongolopoulos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June this year. In the 20th Century to Now auction, the work Olivier sold for GBP 21,590.00 (€ 25,127.04) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Georgios Zongolopoulos; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Greek Aithrio (Atrium) sold at auction in May 2010 with the realized price of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 46,455.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Georgios Zongolopoulos erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century to Now wurde die Arbeit Olivier für GBP 21.590,00 (€ 25.127,04) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Georgios Zongolopoulos; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Greek Aithrio (Atrium) im Mai 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 39.650,00 (€ 46.455,48).
