In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work 2 And 1, Robot Teaching Calendar by George Widener. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,908.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Other works by George Widener have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in January 2019 the work Megalopolis 181, 2007 was auctioned for USD 40,000.00 (€ 34,922.30).
