Auction result well in line with expectations
The work (I) The Little Graves I (Ii) The Little Graves Ii (Iii) The Little Graves Iii (Iv) The Little Graves Iv by George Shaw was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2016. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 23,968.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Shaw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Undergrowth, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 79,875.00 (€ 93,228.43).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 23.968,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von George Shaw mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Undergrowth beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für GBP 79.875,00 (€ 93.228,43) versteigert wurde.
