Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by George Segal achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April 2021. In the Important Prints & Multiples: Part II auction, the work Classical Still Life sold for USD 2,016.00 (€ 1,675.81) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Segal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dancers in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,025,000.00 (€ 751,466.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Segal erzielte im April 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Prints & Multiples: Part II wurde die Arbeit Classical Still Life für USD 2.016,00 (€ 1.675,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Segal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Dancers im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.025.000,00 (€ 751.466,28).
