Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work St. Etienne-Du-Mont, No. 2 by George Lovett Kingsland Morris for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,172.07). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by George Lovett Kingsland Morris have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2021 by the work Intrusion at USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,910.78).
