Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Suspension by George Lovett Kingsland Morris was sold in the American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,828.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by George Lovett Kingsland Morris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Intrusion in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,910.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Suspension von George Lovett Kingsland Morris wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.828,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Lovett Kingsland Morris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Intrusion im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 60.910,78).
