Auction result well in line with expectations
The work ABSTRACT WITH BIRDS by George Chann was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 9,139.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 45,000.00 – 85,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Chann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Peach Blossom Garden in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 4,130,000.00 (€ 487,487.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit ABSTRACT WITH BIRDS von George Chann kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 9.139,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 45.000,00 – 85.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Chann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Peach Blossom Garden im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.130.000,00 (€ 487.487,84).
