Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Lake Scene with Fisherman by George Chann for HKD 25,500.00 (€ 2,914.61). This price was achieved in the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale at Bonhams in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Chann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Peach Blossom Garden in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 4,130,000.00 (€ 487,487.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lake Scene with Fisherman von George Chann für HKD 25.500,00 (€ 2.914,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Chann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Peach Blossom Garden im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.130.000,00 (€ 487.487,84).
