The work Flourishing Impression by George Chann was sold in the 20th Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 277,200.00 (€ 32,528.05), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Chann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Peach Blossom Garden in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 4,130,000.00 (€ 487,487.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Flourishing Impression von George Chann wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 32.528,05) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Chann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Peach Blossom Garden im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.130.000,00 (€ 487.487,84).
