Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Art Day Sale, which included the work Beyond Appearances (Non-wild Cursive I) by George Chann. It changed hands for a price of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 38,442.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Chann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Peach Blossom Garden in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 4,130,000.00 (€ 487,487.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beyond Appearances (Non-wild Cursive I) von George Chann zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 38.442,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Chann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Peach Blossom Garden im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.130.000,00 (€ 487.487,84).
