Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Men of the Auld Palestine Sod at Sweeney's Near Houston Street by George Benjamin Luks was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,650.00 (€ 6,777.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Benjamin Luks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lily Williams in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,874,500.00 (€ 1,515,482.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Men of the Auld Palestine Sod at Sweeney's Near Houston Street von George Benjamin Luks kam im November 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion.
