Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by George Benjamin Luks could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of Martha Hyder Online auction, the work Waiting For The Train changed hands for USD 750.00 (€ 662.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Benjamin Luks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lily Williams in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,874,500.00 (€ 1,515,482.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Benjamin Luks konnte im November 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Collection of Martha Hyder Online wechselte die Arbeit Waiting For The Train für USD 750,00 (€ 662,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Benjamin Luks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lily Williams im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.874.500,00 (€ 1.515.482,25).
