Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tänzer Nijinsky by Georg Kolbe was auctioned at Christies in New York in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,900.00 (€ 79,337.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georg Kolbe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tänzerin in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 736,000.00 (€ 1,082,490.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tänzer Nijinsky von Georg Kolbe kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 79.337,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georg Kolbe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tänzerin im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 736.000,00 (€ 1.082.490,90).
