The work Kopf der Aufblickenden by Georg Kolbe was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 9,562.50 (€ 8,911.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georg Kolbe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tänzerin in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 736,000.00 (€ 1,082,490.90).

Die Arbeit Kopf der Aufblickenden von Georg Kolbe wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.562,50 (€ 8.911,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georg Kolbe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tänzerin im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 736.000,00 (€ 1.082.490,90).
