Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Sich Auskleidende by Georg Kolbe. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,653.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Georg Kolbe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tänzerin in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 736,000.00 (€ 1,082,490.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sich Auskleidende von Georg Kolbe zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 23.653,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Georg Kolbe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tänzerin im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 736.000,00 (€ 1.082.490,90).
