The work Afternoon Clouds and Adobes by Gene Kloss was auctioned at Christies in Los Angeles in November 2001. It achieved a price of USD 6,462.50 (€ 7,214.22), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 29%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gene Kloss - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indian Dance Procession in an Adobe Plaza, which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 27,812.50 (€ 23,569.92).

Die Arbeit Afternoon Clouds and Adobes von Gene Kloss kam im November 2001 bei Christies in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 6.462,50 (€ 7.214,22) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 29%. Für andere Arbeiten von Gene Kloss mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Indian Dance Procession in an Adobe Plaza beobachtet, die im August 2021 für USD 27.812,50 (€ 23.569,92) versteigert wurde.
