Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Descending The Star by Gedi Sibony for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,171.22). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gedi Sibony have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stumble Riser in December last year with an auction result of USD 47,880.00 (€ 44,756.03).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Descending The Star von Gedi Sibony für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.171,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gedi Sibony auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stumble Riser im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 44.756,03).
