Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in London held the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work More at rest than at motion by Gedi Sibony. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,310.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gedi Sibony achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stumble Riser in December last year with an auction result of USD 47,880.00 (€ 44,756.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit More at rest than at motion von Gedi Sibony zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.310,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gedi Sibony erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stumble Riser im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.880,00 (€ 44.756,03).
