It achieved a price of USD 40,320.00 (€ 39,058.41), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gary Hill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crossbow, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 169,000.00 (€ 115,059.91).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Fat Man & Little Boy) von Gary Hill wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Visionary: The Paul G. Allen Collection Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 39.058,41) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Für andere Arbeiten von Gary Hill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crossbow beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 169.000,00 (€ 115.059,91) versteigert wurde.
