Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gary Hill could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open: Summer Edition auction, the work Gary Hill: Around & About: A Performative View changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 470.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gary Hill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crossbow in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 169,000.00 (€ 115,059.91).
