The work Notte Bianca by Gao Xingjian was sold in the Modern Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 22,765.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Xingjian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work By the Lake, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92).

Die Arbeit Notte Bianca von Gao Xingjian wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 22.765,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Xingjian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit By the Lake beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92) versteigert wurde.
