Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Onions And Pineapples by Gandy Brodie for USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,219.30). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Gandy Brodie have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2010 by the work Three works: Candelabra; Nest of Eggs on Branch; Portrait of an Elderly Woman at USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,288.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Onions And Pineapples von Gandy Brodie für USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.219,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00.
