Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Tondo #54 by Fritz Glarner was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 275,000.00 (€ 235,646.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fritz Glarner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Relational Painting Tondo No. 35, which sold at auction in February 2013 for GBP 601,250.00 (€ 698,385.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study for Tondo #54 von Fritz Glarner kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 275.000,00 (€ 235.646,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fritz Glarner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Relational Painting Tondo No. 35 beobachtet, die im Februar 2013 für GBP 601.250,00 (€ 698.385,96) versteigert wurde.
