Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Relational Painting Tondo No. 65 by Fritz Glarner for USD 403,200.00 (€ 330,654.42). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fritz Glarner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Relational Painting Tondo No. 35, which sold at auction in February 2013 for GBP 601,250.00 (€ 698,385.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Relational Painting Tondo No. 65 von Fritz Glarner für USD 403.200,00 (€ 330.654,42) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fritz Glarner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Relational Painting Tondo No. 35 beobachtet, die im Februar 2013 für GBP 601.250,00 (€ 698.385,96) versteigert wurde.
