Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work a chord that can not resolve (lexapro) by Friedrich Kunath. The price achieved of USD 22,680.00 (€ 19,142.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Friedrich Kunath have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Fault Your Fault in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 108,013.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit a chord that can not resolve (lexapro) von Friedrich Kunath zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 19.142,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Friedrich Kunath auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Fault Your Fault im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 108.013,46).
