The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,510.00 (€ 14,981.85), 65% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Friedrich Kunath have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Fault Your Fault in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 108,013.46).

Die Arbeit A Brief History of Love von Friedrich Kunath wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.510,00 (€ 14.981,85) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Friedrich Kunath auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Fault Your Fault im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 108.013,46).
