Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils,, which included the work At the duck pond by François van Severdonck. The price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,914.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by François van Severdonck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 9,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Sunday Picture Sale - British and Continental oils, durch, in der auch die Arbeit At the duck pond von François van Severdonck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.914,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François van Severdonck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.250,00.
