In October 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Belgian Sheep Resting With Ducks In A Landscape; Sheep And Chickens Resting In A Landscape (A Pair) by François van Severdonck. The price achieved of EUR 5,625.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by François van Severdonck have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture was auctioned for EUR 9,250.00.
