Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries', which included the work Sheep Resting In The Pasture by François van Severdonck. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François van Severdonck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 9,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now - 'Art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries' durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sheep Resting In The Pasture von François van Severdonck zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von François van Severdonck mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sheep And Poultry Resting In The Pasture beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 9.250,00 versteigert wurde.
